DevOps Engineer

Looking for an individual who is comfortable taking ownership of our infrastructure and passionate about managing it as code. Writing tests and developing infrastructure as code, and testing said code. 

Someone who understands that there is more to DevOps than tools or the ability to automate infrastructure. Confidence working alongside developers. Applying knowledge of infrastructure automation to enable them to self-service their day to day requirements whilst still maintaining a stable and secure hosting environment.

An individual with a focus on observability. Ensuring our systems are monitored, logs are stored centrally and metrics are collected.  With the ability to apply these metrics to make informed decisions about future infrastructure changes.

Upholding compliance with necessary IT standards such as ISO-27001 and Cyber Essentials. Ensuring implementation of these standards on our systems, identifying any IT systems or procedures that do not comply with these standards, improving and documenting where necessary. 

Qualifications Required

• Managing our existing infrastructure (including site installations, updates and removals)

• Ensuring the maximum possible uptime for our infrastructure

• Automating infrastructure so it is fault-tolerant and self-recovers

• Release management, automated releases, Continuous Delivery

• Ensuring consistency across our infrastructure
