Carry out surveys, inspections and investigations, write letters and reports, serve legal notices, a
Accordingly present cases and act as an expert witness in Court to ensure statutory requirements and policies are fulfilled. To mediate and negotiate satisfactory outcomes to complaints from the public.
Appraise planning and licensing applications, carry out environmental assessments and recommend planning/licensing conditions, to ensure that the environmental implications of applications are addressed, to prevent future public health implications.
Ensure set targets are achieved and corporate and departmental policies are implemented.
Qualifications Required
- Experience in Environmental Health processes and procedures as well as a good understanding of the service delivery environment in order to provide excellent customer service.
You will be able to manage your workload, prioritise and respond to demands to ensure both customer satisfaction and legislative requirements are met
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of relevant knowledge.
- Experience of an area of Environmental Health with considerable experience in Environmental Protection.
